Memorial Day 2009

May 23, 2009 -- One of the veterans I met several years ago was reluctant to be interviewed. The real heroes, he said, were the ones who didn't come home.

In all of the interviews I've done, I've recorded numerous stories about a buddy who was killed, or a sibling who never came home. With that, and a bit of elaboration, I've compiled the first annual Audiomurphy.com Memorial Day CD.

Track 1 Karnig Thomasian  real audio   mp3  Ex-prisoner of war Karnig Thomasian talks about the loss of his buddy Vern Henning when their B-29 exploded over Thailand. From "For You the War Is Over"
